LGBTQQIA & Gender Diversity

People who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer, Two-Spirit, Intersex, Asexual or those that are Gender Non-Conforming/Gender Diverse/Non-Binary have a higher likelihood of stigma and marginalization which can greatly affect mental health.

Re: LGBTQ+ Youth: According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US among ages 10-14 and the 2nd leading is from age 15-24. Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual youth are two to five times more likely than their straight peers to attempt suicide. Transgender youth are at an even higher rate of mental health issues and suicide. Prejudice and stigma are leading factors that contribute.

In a supportive, and non-judgmental space I can  help individuals and families learn accept and advocate for their loved ones.

Please note that therapies that aim to "cure" or "convert" LGBTQ+ communities are recognized within various medical and psychological associations as harmful and detrimental.

I'm committed to providing an inclusive space for those that identify as  LGBTQQIA or are Gender Non-Conforming/Non-Binary /Gender Diverse as well provide therapy and support opportunities for loved ones of those queer-identified individuals.
